Amie Otto--Lead Photographer and Owner
I started studying photography at the age of 15 learning with black and white film and a darkroom. I fell in love with the subject I'd always been interested in and continued my education at the School of Visual Arts in New York City and the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor. I was always drawn to people as my subjects, but never considered wedding photography as a viable option. That was until I started taking photos at friends' weddings for fun and they all said they like mine better than the ones they had paid for. They started telling their friends, who told their friends, and soon AOP was official. It's been over 10 years now, and I still love shooting weddings.
I'm an active member of Professional Photographers of America and an award winning member of the Wedding Photojournalist Association (WPJA).
I've been published in the Washington Post, the Washingtonian, United With Love, Ruffled, Borrowed and Blue, Loudoun Independent, Rock and Roll Bride, and many other fine publications! We've also received the Bride's Choice Award, The Knot Best of Weddings and the Washingtonian's preferred vendor list.
